SUPPLY CHAIN MATURITY MATRIX™

The Supply Chain Maturity Matrix (SCMM™) provides a detailed qualitative view of the current state of supply chain development within the business. The SCMM™ assesses the current performance across 9 dimensions. Each dimension has several sub-dimensions and each of these has 4 stages of behavioural development. An example is found here.

The SCMM™ can be completed by a single manager or deployed across a range of stakeholders in the supply chain to gain a company-wide view of the supply chain performance. Results from completing the SCMM™ can be collated and the gaps in understanding and performance can then be addressed through targeted training and development programmes, or the improvement or introduction of business processes.
